The short version

Hosting and server logs

The site runs on a server in the European Union (Contabo GmbH) and is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it against attacks and delivers it quickly. To deliver a page, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the time, the requested page, the referring page and your browser’s user agent (Cloudflare privacy policy). Our own server only sees Cloudflare’s addresses, not yours; its technical logs are kept for 14 days for operation and security and then deleted. These data are not combined with other data and not used to identify visitors.

Links to other sites

Downloads, source code, bug reports and discussions are on GitHub; buying support and signing in happen in the MaxZit customer portal. When you follow such a link, the privacy policy of that site applies (GitHub privacy statement).

The BackupZit software

BackupZit runs on your own server. It sends no telemetry and no backup data to MaxZit; your backups stay on the storage you choose.

Your rights

Under the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection and the EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Serbia the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection. Write to office@maxzit.com.
